Chocolate Shipping Information


Holiday Shipping:
Thank you for the overwhelming holiday demand, we are busy making your orders. All
chocolates are made fresh to order please allow 2-3 working days for your chocolates to be made plus transit time.

General Information
Shipping options and prices are displayed at checkout, including Standard, UPS 2-Day and UPS Next Day delivery. We cannot guarantee Monday delivery, as weather conditions prevent us from shipping over the weekend. Please note that order processing time may be extended during holiday time periods such as Christmas (Nov-Dec) and Valentine’s (Feb).

Shipping Options
Platters offers Standard, UPS 2-Day, and UPS Next Day shipping options, displayed and selectable at checkout. Order cut-off is at 3:00 p.m. EST, with next business day processing for orders placed after this time. Deliveries generally occur Monday through Friday. Note: Processing times may be extended during holiday peak periods, November-December, February (Valentines), April (Easter), etc.

Gift Messages
Include your gift message or gift note in the shopping cart area labeled "Add Gift Message" to ensure your recipient will know who sent them the gift. Unless you include a name in the gift note, the recipient will not know who sent the gift. Invoices or receipts with pricing are never included in shipments.

Order Tracking
When you place an order on our website, tracking is available for all orders which you will receive automatically once your order has been processed.

UPS Shipping
UPS is our preferred shipping method, offering a 1-3 day delivery period in the USA
post-processing. Only UPS Next Day Air guarantees delivery timeframes as UPS has
suspended service guarantees on all service besides Next Day.

We also offer delivery courier services within the Metro Detroit area, which can be arranged by contacting us at +1 (313) 426-7471.

Shipping Schedule
Our primary shipping days are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. This is to prevent the chocolates from melting in transit or a shipping facility that is not temperature controlled. By not shipping over weekends, we minimize the risk of the chocolates melting during transit or in non-temperature controlled shipping facilities. We may at our discretion, depending upon the weather conditions, choose not to ship out orders due to weather concerns. It is in our best interest for you to receive our delicious chocolates in optimum condition. Adjustments to this schedule may be made based on weather conditions to ensure product quality. *During busy holiday periods and cooler months (including November-December, February, March), we try our best to ship orders every day of the week.

General Shipping Details
We do not ship to PO Boxes, APO & FPO locations, please provide an alternate address. Incorrectly entered addresses may incur additional costs, or a need of a reshipment of the items, and are the sole responsibility of the customer. Please make sure the shipping address you provide is correct and complete. We do not guarantee Monday deliveries for any service as weather conditions prevent us from shipping over the weekend. We rely on 3rd party carriers (such as UPS) to deliver your orders. Once your order has been handed over to the shipping carrier, any delays are entirely out of our control. Delays may be caused by weather, air traffic, mechanical issues, incorrect delivery address or other factors.

Return Policy
Platters Chocolatier cannot be held responsible for damage to packages (including heat) that may occur during shipping.

  • We carefully pack our shipments to prevent any damage during transit,
    however, once the products leave our fulfillment center, any damage that
    may occur is out of our hands.
  • We are also not responsible for shipping delays caused by our shipping
    provider due to weather or any other circumstances beyond our control.
